I am a huge fan of technology – especially technology that transcends and intersects at the human, emotional, and functional domains.
I seek beautiful products that are visually appealing and functionally superior. Here is a humble list that I have put together (in no particular order).
- Nest – this wonder makes home heating and cooling a breeze and puts the ‘sexy’ in energy savings. I picked it up at a Home Depot and have not looked back. Even for a “handyman-challenged” person like me, installation was a breeze. $249
- Goji Smart Lock – in the future, all doors will have this. Promise. $278
- Pebble – a Bluetooth-based, e-ink wearable computer watch that connects an iPhone or Android smartphone together to exchange certain data and notifications. $150
- Tile – slightly bigger than a quarter, these beauties claim to attach to pretty much anything – laptops, wallets, keys, guitars, bikes – and prompt the owner via an app when they are nearby. Tile aspires to build a network with other Tiles hence forming a community/eco-system whereby ‘lost and found’ becomes a thing of the past. $35 each
- More to come 🙂
